Language GuidancemyUKinfo is designed to offer a resource to migrant workers travelling to or already in the UK. For the majority of these migrant workers, English will not be their first language. Therefore, many of the pages on the myUKinfo website will be translated into their national language. Adverts can also be translated if the advertiser wishes. The advertiser may provide myUKinfo with pre-translated copy or it can be passed to translation services via myUKinfo (see below).
Translation ServicesmyUKinfo has access to a team of translators which companies can use when preparing adverts.
ComplaintsWhere a visitor believes that any advertising on the myUKinfo site is in violation of the policy laid, they should contact myUKinfo by writing, emailing or telephoning using the details below.
To protect the advertiser from unfounded complaints, there will be an immediate review of the advert. Where there are clear grounds for complaint or where there is any doubt about the advert it will be removed, the advertiser informed and a formal review undertaken.
Blanket AdvertisingWe aim to provide migrant workers with a range of helpful commercial and non-commercial advertising. Therefore no single advertiser will be able to dominate the myUKinfo site with advertising on a large proportion of the pages.
