Applying for Settlement (“indefinite leave to remain”)

This section provides information on applying for settlement (also known as indefinite leave to remain).

After you have lived legally in the UK for a certain length of time (usually between two and five years), you may be able to apply to live here permanently, depending on the category of visa you have.
