Here you can find information on health and safety as a worker in the UK.

All employers are responsible for the health and safety of all their employees.  For example they should provide first aid equipment, adequate means of escape in case of fire and personal protective equipment (PPE) and should ensure that all machinery is safe.

The Health and Safety Executive (HSE) and local authorities are responsible for enforcing health and safety legislation in Great Britain (GB). The law provides protection for overseas workers whether they are working here legally or not.  The information on this webpage is available in many languages.  The HSE also have an information line.
