The Debt Advisory Centre provide help and advice to people who are struggling with debt. They could help you if:
  • You're unable to keep up with your debt payments 
  • You're looking for advice on managing your money 
  • You're considering entering a debt solution 
  • You're in arrears (mortgage, rent or bills)

WorkSmart provides information on how to deal with debt. They have information on how to save money and stop your debt from growing. Their website can help you answer the following questions: 
  • can I save money on fuel and water bills? 
  • can I make any savings on my household expenses? 
  • what should I look out for if I need to borrow money? 
  • I am deeply in debt, what can I do?
 
The Citizens Advice Bureau (CAB) website also gives information on debt including: 
  • a step by step process to helping you deal with your debt
  • debt management plans
  • putting all your debts into one loan (consolidation)
  • negotiating with your creditors
  • how debt affects your credit record
