If you want to have a religious marriage ceremony, you can usually get married in a church or any other religious building registered for marriage. How do I register a death in the UK?

It is important to register a death as soon as possible. 
 
If you live in England or Wales you usually need to register the death within 5 days,
 
 
If you live in Northern Ireland you need to register a death no later than 5 days with the registrar in the district in which the person died, or in the district in which the person normally lived.
 
 
If you live in Scotland you need to register a death within 8 days by the Registrar of Births, Deaths and Marriages in any registration district in Scotland:
