Financial Help

This section provides information on help paying for childcare.

All three and four year olds in England are entitled to free early learning. If you are a working parent, lone parent or a student you may be entitled to extra help with the costs of early learning and childcare.

Visit the DirectGov website for information on free early learning for three and four year olds.

Some employers offer their employees help to pay for childcare, this may include:
  • paying the childcare fees directly
  • paying the child’s school fees
  • childcare vouchers
  • workplace nurseries

Visit the DirectGov website for information on childcare benefits and help for parents going back to work.

Visit the HMRC website to download a leaflet on help paying for childcare from your employer.

Visit the Citizens Advice Bureau (CAB) website for more information on help with the cost of childcare.

Visit the Child Voucher Solution website, a government initiative which helps working parents by providing them with tax exemptions
