About myUKinfo.commyUKinfo.com is a portal that provides access to important information about working and living in the UK. The portal has been built with design input from migrant workers and people that support them. myUKinfo.com provides essential information about immigrating to the UK, employment and training, housing, transport, money, resources for families and children, healthcare and emergency contact information. As myUKinfo.com expands, the information will expand and be made available in other languages.
The portal has been built by a consortium of four companies led by HTK who are experts at building large, interactive portals. HTK is supported by Keystone Development Trust, a specialist charity that helps migrant workers in the UK, web designers Smith and Saunders, and Milner LLP a marketing consultancy also involved in PR.
The portal is being funded by the East of England Development Agency (EEDA), the European Social Fund (ESF) and the Department of Communities and Local Government (DCLG).
The South East Strategic Partnership for Migration receives an enabling grant from the UK Borders Agency to monitor the impact of migration in the SE, provide a regional advisory, developmental & consultation function for members organisations from the statutory, voluntary & community sectors.
myUKinfo is supported by Language Connect, a translation and interpreting company who also offer specialised language services.
The myUKinfo.com portal has local pages for local authorities and local organisations to add important information about local town, council and regional alerts, updates and contact information. This allows migrant workers to have access to the national information about living and working in the UK in the top main 8 sections of the portal as well as information for their local area.
